Girls Hockey Esso Fun Day
Over thirty young girls  suited up for an afternoon of hockey at Oak Bay arena.

Organized by Victoria Minor Hockey and sponsored by Esso and supported by the City of Vitoria 's H.E.L.P. program . Thirty girls had an afternoon session on the ice complete with full gear and coaching .

KidSport was there to provide information about the grants available

RVM - Thrifty Foods Kids Run

A record number of kids (over 900) participated under perfect running conditions in the Thrifty Foods Kids Run.  Each participant received a T-shirt, goodie bag and medal.  Four lucky participants won bikes from Oak Bay Bicycle.  Hill Crest Elementary School won a new computer for the school by registering the most runners in the race.  Our thanks go out to Andrew Dyk and Tony Austin for the photographs.

KidSport pitched it's tent at Mile 0 as part of the Terry Fox Run event ,increasing awareness of KidSport and promoting the Thrifty Foods Kid's Run

H.E.L.P. for Aspiring Hockey Players
KidSport teamed up with the City of Victoria's Hockey Equipment Exchange Program (H.E.L.P.) and the Victoria Minor Hockey Association to provide young hockey hopefuls with equipment, ice time, coaching and registration fees.

Dairyland Must Drink More Milk Campaign


Dairyland and KidSport pulling together.

Each person that used the rowing machine to pull the milk in the glass down to 50 ml from 250 ml, facilitated a donation from BC Dairy Foundation to KidSport. Over $400 was raised at the event. Thanks to Steve Turner, Barbara VanderLinden and Patti Hunter for staffing the booth for KidSport.

ProMotionplus & KidSport Golf Tournament
The annual ProMotionplus & KidSport Golf Tournament was held on a gorgeous day at Prospect Lake and judging by the photos a good time was had by all!

Over $13,000 was raised for the two  non profits organizations .

Claremont Spring Fair

The students of Claremont High School are tremendous supporters of KidSport both fund raising and volunteering .

One of the events at this year's Claremont Spring Fair was a mini golf course with proceeds going to KidSport .

Saanich Police Helmet Safety Rodeos
KidSport has provided Saanich Police with new bike helmets to issue to kids in need.

The annual Appreciation Night was held at the Oak Bay Marina  principals from the 15 Community Linked School attended and received cheques for their schools.
